This exhibition is organized in conjunction with the Le Corbusier Foundation from Paris and is curated by Jacques Sbriglio. It also marks the first time TFAM has held an exhibition of works by this modern master of architecture, but in addition to architecture-related works, such as models of buildings, design diagrams, draft drawings etc. The display includes more than 260 works by Le Corbusier , including paintings, sketches and sculptures. Le Corbusier grew up in the industrial age of the early 20th Century. This was an era that experienced political, economic and social change following scientific and technological developments after the 19th Century and urgently needed new architectural ideas and forms to correspond to the needs of a new era. Faced with the challenge of the times, Le Corbusier combined the foundation of modern avant garde painting and sculpture, liberating art from the confines of its older visual patterns and in so doing opened a new vista for modern architecture.
