In 1861 Ignace-Henri-Théodore Fantin-Latour spent some time painting in England where his flower-pieces were popular. In composition this painting, 'Still Life with Glass Jug, Fruit and Flowers', recalls the works of the artist's contemporary, François Bonvin, who was inspired by Dutch still lifes of the 17th century:http://bit.ly/1Q2Gf6Q
