Celebrate Marshall McLuhan’s birthday with today’s Featured Artwork of the Day. McLuhan, a renowned media theorist, coined the expression “the medium is the message.” In tune with this motto, Klee designed the handbill on a sheet of newspaper that he had covered with caramel-colored gouache.
