1873年5月開幕的亞歷山德拉宮，被譽為"人民的宮殿"，兩週後付之一炬！重建後，在1936年成為BBC電視臺第一個總部，當年傳送全球最早電視畫面的電桿留存至今，但位於東廂的劇院運氣就沒這麼好了，被BBC拿來做為道具倉庫，與大眾隔絕了八十年。現在這個睡美人已經被修復，但這不是一般的修復工程，接下這個建案的建築師秉持的設計哲學是--衰敗也是故事的一部分，應該予以保留...
