"By the Water" by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841–1919). Oil on canvas

This painting, by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, shows Moulin Huet Bay on the Channel Island of Guernsey with three figures in the foreground. The rocks have been identified as 'Les Tas de Pois d'Amont' on the left, while those on the right are probably 'La Surtaut' (Cradle Rock):http://bit.ly/1TpS6xW

諾(Pierre Auguste Renoir,1841-1919)傳』(Renoir My Father by Renoir,Jean.
Translated by Randolph Weaver and Dorothy Weaver. Boston: Little, Brown, 1962
其實這本書也是Jean Renoir ( 1894 – 1979)之部分 自傳/回憶錄(他的專著:My Life and My Films,我尚未看)。
Renoir/Renoir," presented with the Musée d'Orsay,

Renoir : his life art and letters by B. Ehrlich White in Renoir, his Life, Art and Letters ..

Despite the advantage of having the apartment on the same level as his studio, my father wanted to move out ..

The post office duly sent the letter to the person it was intended for, at number ..." on Page 332:

During the Paris Commune in 1871 , while he painted by the Seine River, a Commune group thought he was spying and they were about to throw him in the river when a Commune leader, Raoul Rigault, recognized Renoir as the man who protected him on an earlier occasion.

The Côte d'Azur. 1915. In his twilight years, Pierre-Auguste Renoir is tormented by the loss of his wife, the pains of arthritic old age and the terrible news that his son Jean has been wounded in action. But when a young girl miraculously enters his world, the old painter is filled with a new, wholly unexpected energy. Blazing with life, radiantly beautiful, Andrée will become his last model, and the wellspring of a remarkable rejuvenation. Back at the family home to convalesce, Jean too falls under the spell of the new, redheaded star in the Renoir firmament. In their Mediterranean Eden - and in the face of his father's fierce opposition - he falls in love with this wild, untameable spirit... and as he does so, within weak-willed, battle-shaken Jean, a filmmaker begins to grow.

Set on the French Riviera in the summer of 1915, Jean Renoir -- son of the Impressionist painter, Pierre-Auguste -- returns home to convalesce after being wounded in World War I. At his side is Andrée, a young woman who rejuvenates, enchants, and inspires both father and son.
