This is one of John Tenniel's (1820-1914) famous illustrations for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The book was published in 1865. I'm posting this because the plate for this illustration was recently discovered by a collector. He found four plates in all. This image illustrates the famous poem "You Are Old, Father William."
