"I have spent years trying to understand what went on in his mind and in his hand."
The French architect André Wogenscky (1916−2004) worked at Le Corbusier's legendary Rue de Sèvres studio for 20 years (1936−56). He supervised the design and construction of such epoch-making buildings as the various Unités d'Habitation (Marseilles, Nantes, Berlin, Briey-en-Fôret, and Firminy). After leaving Le Corbusier, with whom he collaborated and maintained a friendship until the master's death in 1965, Wogenscky established an independent practice.
As the director of the Fondation Le Corbusier (1971−82), he also contributed to the preservation of Le Corbusier's legacy.

With Le Corbusier's Hands, Wogenscky gives us a unique record of an enigmatic genius."
