Joan Mitchell and the poet John Ashbery, who passed away last week, collaborated on a limited edition artist's book, "The Poems," published by Tiber Press in 1960. This was Joan's first collaboration with a poet, but not her last. You can see the cover illustration and four other original screenprints that Joan created to accompany John's poem through the Museum of Modern Art's online collection.
