The Horse-Head Conference Room was designed by noted architect Frank Gehry as an exploration for a house he designed for Peter B. Lewis, a 1955 graduate and trustee of the University. The house was never built, but the project gave Gehry the opportunity to explore a new language of architecture, one that would be developed fully in his designs for the Guggenheim Museum at Bilbao.
