Painter Mika Toba is known for incorporating in her work a traditional dyeing technique called Katazome. Years of travel through Vietnam led her to discover an environment reminiscent of Japan, where the passage of time leads the old to coexist with the new. Her experience inspired a series of landscapes that epitomize the essence of Zen. This documentary introduces Toba's unique approach to art and follows her latest project at a famous Zen temple in Kyoto.
