Gaston de La Touche is a French sculptor, painter and graphic artist, who passed from salon art to post-impressionism. He was influenced by Rococo artists (Antoine Watteau and Francois Boucher) and symbolism, in particular, by Puuv de Chavannes. In Paris, visited the cafe "New Athens" in Pigalle Square - a meeting place for artists and writers (his regulars at that time were also Eduard Manet, Edgar Degas, Emil Zola).
Gaston La Touche, or de La Touche (24 October 1854 - 12 July 1913) was a French painter, illustrator, engraver and sculptor.
