Robert Silman, 1935-2018. Engineer Who Saved Fallingwater

At the GSD, Silman was known for his "Conservation of Older Buildings" and "Philosophy of Technology" seminars, the latter of which he taught last spring. He will also be remembered for his work with Renzo Piano Building Workshop to renovate and expand the Harvard Art Museums. His firm, Robert Silman Associates, served as the structural engineers for the project. http://bit.ly/RobertSilman18
